Rozel Ahmed started his professional commentary
career at Last Man Stands Bangladesh in November 2018. To get the opportunity
in Last Man Stands Bangladesh was very interesting.
One of the top 35 commentators of Fresh
Presents; Shadhin Commentator Hunt Amrito Malangi and Rozel got the yes card in
the audition on the same day. That's why they were a bit familiar from the
audition day. Organizers arranged a 3-day grooming session for these top 35
commentators around the country. In these 3 days, Rozel Ahmed and Amrito
Malangi had a good relationship.
After getting a chance at the university Rozel
moved from Mymensingh to Dhaka. He had been dreaming of becoming a cricket
commentator since childhood. Rozel decided to meet Amrito one day when Amrito
was working as a news presenter on Channel I. Then they had a very quality
gossip and Rozel Ahmed took a selfie with Amrito. Amrito posted it on his
Facebook timeline with a caption that this boy could imitate different
commentators' voices and a good English cricket commentator.
On the other side, Managing Director of Last
Man Stands Bangladesh Rifatul Islam launched a bigger live-streaming setup for
their tournament that's why he needed a new commentator, he was doing the
commentary but at that time it wasn't possible for him to continue since he had
to take care of the digital set-up. Rifatul Islam was on Amrita's Facebook
friend list. Amrito worked as a commentator in a big tournament named
Chittagong League 2017 broadcasted on Channel 9.
Then Rifat knocked Amrito to contact Rozel
Ahmed as he was available or not for the role of commentary in LMS BD. Rozel
was waiting for this opportunity. Without any further adieu, he grabbed the
opportunity and was confirmed as the official commentator in January 2019.
